Congratulations to the Elk River/Zimmerman Varsity Bowling Team.
The day was not without its highs and lows but after the 6th match Varsity was sitting in 3rd place in their pool.
The 7th match was good, winning 2 of 3 points. However, Sartell snuck in with a 3 point victory over their opponent.
This tied the 2 schools for points and the slightly higher pin count of the Sartell team bumped ER/Z out of championship play.

This seated ER/Z 4th in “last chance” play against Alexandria.
First game looked like ER/Z may have been tired with a 156 to 200 loss.
But after a small tweak, to the last line up of the day, ER/Z proclaimed they were not done.
Proving it with 8 strikes in a row resulting in a 268 to 151 win.
Match ended with a 424 to 351 victory for the Varsity team.

They have now earned the right to play as one of the top 24 teams in the state on 12/4/2021 at Drkule’s in Inver Grove Heights.
